Oodle raises another $ 5.6 million

Having worked in the classified space I am quite surprised that Oodle raises $5.6 million. Oodle is still clearly far behind Craigslist and sites like Backpage are on the same level as oodle without raising all that money.

Also if you look worldwide, Oodle did not make quite an impact. Kijiji, which belongs to Ebay, is ruling most of the world. Other niche players like Vivastreet, Campusanuncios, Stadlist, Markt.de are running the show in local markets.

Job marketwise I don’t see why to hit Oodle. The high-end jobs are listed at Theladders, Experteer, Placement24….the average IT jobs can be found at Simply Hired, Indeed and the average Joe lists with Monster, Careerbuilder, Stepstone and Hotjobs.

So the low end MLM job listings are left.

I certainly don’t hope that, but unless Oodle finds a way to increase partnerships such the one with Facebook, I don’t see a future for this company.
